Obituary:
Donald Edward Schanke, 79 of Naples died Wednesday, February 17, 2010. Mr. Schanke was a retired banker and businessman. He graduated from Bowling Green State University and then served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church where he was on the finance committee, member and past president of the Naples Optimist Club, member of Naples Elks Lodge #2010 BPOE, Northern Light Masonic Lodge, Maumee, OH, Order of the Eastern Star, Naples Chapter, American Legion Post #7721 and former president of the Board at White Sands Resort in Naples.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Patricia; daughters, Cynthia Lukehart of Clearwater and Christine (Phillip) Sizemore of Naples. Sister, Betty Winters of Pemberville, OH; six grandchildren Michael, Steven, Ryan, Ally, Lauren, Amy and great grandson, Jackson. Friends are invited to call Saturday, February 20th from 3-5pm at the Fuller Funeral Home, 1625 Pine Ridge Road. Funeral Services will be held Monday, March 8th at 11am at the First United Methodist Church, 388 1st Ave So., Naples. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the First United Methodist Church or the Naples Optimist Club Scholarship Fund.
