Florida law requires that if a deceased individual is to be cremated that the crematory uses a casket or alternative container. The primary reason is that a rigid container must be used for proper placement of the body into the cremation chamber. These containers range from simple, functional and inexpensive to alternatives that may be used for viewing and services.
